01 · Public transport in Boston
Boston's T is the oldest subway in the United States, and it still carries the city: four subway lines, the Green Line's four branches and a bus network that reaches every neighborhood.
Leidaro pulls live vehicle positions directly from the same public feeds that the MBTA publishes. Every train and bus on the map is exactly where it is right now. Tap a stop and see the next arrivals with real countdown times.
Pay with a CharlieCard, a tap of a contactless bank card, or cash. A subway ride is $2.40 and a local bus $1.70 with a CharlieCard or contactless tap; a monthly LinkPass is $90, and a transfer within two hours is included.
The MBTA runs 369 bus routes and 10,275 stops, the Red, Orange and Blue lines, the four-branch Green Line — opened in 1897, the oldest subway in the United States — and the Silver Line's bus rapid transit. Logan Airport is served by the Blue Line and the SL1.
Leidaro was built for public transport that publishes open data. In Boston it uses the MBTA's public GTFS schedule and real-time feeds to show the exact position of every train, trolley and bus.
Download the city once and the static map data (stops, routes and directions) works even without internet. Set up alerts for your daily routes and save your favorite stops.

Not yet — Leidaro is an Android app (Android 7.0+). If an iOS version happens, you'll hear about it here first.

No. Leidaro is an independent app built by Minrax. It is not affiliated with the MBTA or MassDOT — it uses the public GTFS data the agency publishes.
No. Subway faregates and bus fareboxes accept contactless bank cards and phones as well as CharlieCards, and cash still works. Leidaro itself needs no account or ticket.
Freemium: core features included: live map, arrivals, alerts, favorites and offline cities. An optional upgrade lifts the free-tier limits and supports development. No ads, either way.
04 · Boston's transit network
The MBTA — the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority — runs Greater Boston's transit: the Red, Orange and Blue subway lines, the four-branch Green Line, the Silver Line, 369 bus routes, the Mattapan Trolley, plus commuter rail and ferries.
Almost everything funnels through Downtown Crossing and Park Street, where the Red and Green lines meet. South Station and North Station handle commuter rail, and the Blue Line runs from Bowdoin out through Logan Airport to Wonderland.
With Leidaro you see this entire network live — every train, trolley and bus on one map.
The GTFS data comes from the MBTA, which publishes its schedule and real-time feeds openly for developers.
Download Leidaro, find your stop and see the next arrival in seconds.
