1 What Leidaro is
Leidaro is a real-time public transport app for Android. Open it and you see every bus, tram, trolleybus and metro train around you on a live map — where each vehicle actually is right now, and when it will actually reach your stop. It covers 30 European cities, works offline once a city is downloaded, and shows live positions refreshed every few seconds.
No ads. No account. No tracking. That is not a marketing line — it is the product specification.
2 Who builds it
Leidaro is built by one person at Minrax, a small software studio in Bulgaria. There is no growth team, no data-broker contract and no roadmap shaped by advertisers — just a developer who got tired of guessing when the bus was coming.
That also means feature requests actually reach the person who implements them. Many of the best ones — direction-aware alerts, offline cities, route filtering — started as user emails.
3 How the data works
Leidaro is built entirely on open transit data. Cities and operators publish their schedules and live vehicle positions as GTFS and GTFS-Realtime feeds, and the app renders them — directly, in real time. Nothing is scraped from other apps or websites.
This is also why coverage grows the way it does: a city appears in Leidaro when it publishes a decent feed. If your city has open transit data, it has a good chance of being next.
4 What Leidaro is not
Leidaro is not an official app of any transit authority, municipality or operator. It is an independent product that uses public data. For service changes, disruptions and anything safety-critical, always check the official sources of your local operator.
